Connections Media is excited to announce that our work has been honored by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts with wins in multiple categories of the prestigious 2015 W³ Awards.
The W³ Awards honors creative excellence on the web, and recognizes the creative and marketing professionals behind award winning sites, videos and marketing programs. The W³ is the first major web competition that includes Fortune 500 companies, midsize firms, and small organizations alike.
Connections Media’s work on behalf of our clients received the recognition in the following categories:
ParentToolkit.com - a website created by Connections Media in partnership with NBC News’ Education Nation – won a Silver Award in the Best Mobile App/Site – Family & Kids Category. ParentToolkit.com is produced by NBC News’ Education Nation and sponsored by Pearson. The site is designed to provide parents with effective tips and tools to help guide their children’s development in school and beyond the classroom, from Pre-K through high school. ParentToolkit.com was developed with national experts ranging from teachers and professors to doctors and parents to provide the best resources possible.
Racial Equity Resource Guide – a site created by Connections Media on behalf of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation – also won a Silver Award for Best General Website – Directory or Search Engine Category. The purpose of the site is to amplify the Foundation’s “America Healing” initiative, which strives to raise awareness of unconscious biases, promote racial healing, and advance racial equity. The site provides an exhaustive, interactive library of articles, research, books, media strategies, and contacts, from which any individual or organization can build their own customized resource guides.
Finally, the video series ABC’s of Coverage, developed on behalf of PhRMA, won a Silver Award in the Best Online Video – Misc. Category. Connections Media worked with PhRMA to create the Access Better Coverage website and campaign, to highlight PhRMA’s position on Affordable Care Act exchanges before open enrollment. The Coverage Classroom - ABCs of Coverage video series was produced to narrate key points regarding access to medicines within the exchanges. The videos explain the basics of insurance, including “How Insurers Limit the Use of Medicines,” and “Tips for Choosing a Health Insurance Plan.” The videos have been viewed nearly 175,000 times, received mentions by major national publications and influencers, and re-launched with multiple Spanish versions.
